Hint: We know that certain organisms transmit diseases from one person to another. They are called vectors. Many types of insects and fleas act as common vectors for transmitting infectious diseases.

Complete answer:
We know that several mosquitoes act as vectors for certain diseases. They include Aedes mosquito, Culex mosquito, and Anopheles mosquito. Among these, female mosquitoes transmit the deadly disease called malaria.
Malaria is caused by an organism called protozoa. Plasmodium is the name of a protozoan that causes malaria. There are three types of Plasmodium that cause disease. They are Plasmodium vivax, Plasmodium falciparum, and Plasmodium malaria.
The disease-causing organism enters by the bite of a female Anopheles mosquito into our body. It enters as sporozoites and it initially multiplies within the liver. Then it attacks red blood cells leading to their rupture. A chemical substance called hemozoin is released that is responsible for the continuous fever.
When a female Anopheles mosquito bites an infected person, the plasmodium enters the mosquito and completes its life cycle inside the gut of the mosquito.
Note that the malarial parasite has two hosts.
Several other mosquitoes also spread diseases. Aedes aegypti is a mosquito vector that can transmit several diseases like chikungunya, dengue fever, and zika fever. Culex is another mosquito that can transmit diseases like Japanese encephalitis and West Nile virus.

Hence, the correct option is A.

Note:Know that Entamoeba histolytica is another protozoan that causes the disease called amoebiasis. Here, the vectors of the disease are houseflies. When we eat the food contaminated by the houseflies, the parasite enters our body and causes disease.
