When was the foundation of the Delhi Sultanate laid?

The Delhi Sultanate, an Islamic Empire that was in Delhi. It was stretched over many parts of the Indian subcontinent. Delhi sultanate lasts for over 320 years from 1206-1526.

 There are main five dynasties who ruled over Delhi Sultanate are- the Slave dynasty from 1206-1290, the Khilji dynasty from 1290-1320, the Tughlaq dynasty from 1320-1414, the Sayyid dynasty from 1414-1451, and the last one was the Lodi dynasty that was from 1451-1526. It covers the part of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and also some parts of southern Nepal. The foundation of Delhi Sultanate was laid in the beginning of the thirteenth century. Qutub-Uddin-Aibak was the first who laid the foundation of Mughals that is the Slave dynasty and this began the rule of Delhi Sultanate which was ruled in India from 1206-1526. Qutub-Uddin-Aibak belonged to a Turkish family in Central Asia. He was sold as a slave in his early childhood. When Mohammad Ghori was Viceroy of Sultan, he sacked Benaras around 1194 AD. After that he also defeated the King of Ajmer then he won the kingdom of Gujarat.

After the assassination of Mohammad Ghori in the 1206 AD, Qutub-Uddin-Aibak assigned as the Sultan of India, and he laid the foundation of Mamluk dynasty, or we can say that the Slave dynasty. Later in 1206 AD only, Qutub-Uddin-Aibak was appointed as Naib us Sultanate by Mohammad Ghori. Qutub-Uddin-Aibak was the first who ruled over the Delhi Sultanate.
