Hint:In order to solve this question, we should know that fundamentally there are only four forces in nature namely Strong and Weak Nuclear force, Electrostatic force, and Gravitational force, here we will discuss the strength of electrostatic force and its comparison with other fundamental forces.
Complete answer:
The electrostatic force acts between the electric charges like electron and proton since an electrostatic force is both attractive as well as repulsive in nature. In terms of strength electrostatic force is a weak force in comparison to the nuclear force.
Nuclear force acts between the nucleons in the nucleus and its short-range force which is only attractive in nature and it’s the strongest force in nature. After, Nuclear force, an electrostatic force is the strongest force in nature in comparison to weak nuclear force and gravitational force. Weak nuclear force such as Beta-decay or gamma decay where one subatomic particle converts into another is a weaker force than electrostatic force and
Gravitational force is the weakest force in nature. So, the Strength of any force can be said relative to another force.
Hence, Electrostatic force is a weak force compared to Strong nuclear force but its strongest force when compared to weak nuclear force and gravitational force in nature.
Note: It should be remembered that the electrostatic force is one aspect of the combined electromagnetic force, the electromagnetic force is the study of electric force and magnetic force together as these forces are two aspects of the same force which unites both forces together called electromagnetic force.
