Hint: Amoeba undergoes an asexual type of reproduction where new gametes are formed without fertilization or fusion of gametes. Asexual reproduction can occur through various methods like binary fission, fragmentation, and budding. This process usually continues until the final separation into two cells.

Complete answer:
Asexual type of reproduction occurs in animals belonging to kingdoms like Protozoa, Fungi, and Monera. Plantae and Animalia are complex organisms that do not undergo an asexual type of reproduction. Amoeba belongs to the Protozoa kingdom formed of a single eukaryotic cell. Out of all the methods of asexual reproduction, amoeba undergoes binary fission.
The steps to binary fission involve-
The nucleus consists of the genetic material which replicates by mitosis. So, the nucleus produces two daughter nuclei.
After the nuclei formation is done, the cytoplasm is constricted and divides to form two daughter cells.
While cytoplasmic constriction is going on protein and nutrients.
There is no proper plan of binary fission but it occurs perpendicular to the nuclear division.

The advantage of binary fission is that there is a high rate of cell division which occurs at a fast rate. Also, there is no involvement of two parents in the reproduction process, only a single parent can continue the species and keep the process of division simple.

Note:
Amoeba can also replicate through multiple fission along with binary fission. Instead of dividing the cell into two parts, it divides into multiple daughter cells. This condition occurs when there are favourable conditions for reproduction. Even if the amoeba is cut off from any side, it will recover itself and continue to work normally.
