- As per the official map of India, it shares a boundary with Afghanistan. But the Indo Afghan border, Durand line, lies in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) region which India considers as its territory. But it is not recognized by some countries such as Pakistan, China etc.
- The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) group responsible for assassinating Rajiv Gandhi who was the former Prime Minister of India, was controversial in Sri Lanka. Diplomatic links, however, have now taken a good path.
India shares the longest land frontier with Bangladesh with a length of about 4096.7 kilometers.
