Read the passage and answer the questions that follow-
Once there was a miser who sold all his possessions and, with the money, bought a great lump of gold, dug a deep hole at the edge of the garden, and there he buried his gold. Once a day, thereafter, the miser went to the garden, dug up his gold, and embraced it lovingly. One of the miser’s workmen wondered why his master spent so much time in the garden. One day, he hid behind a tree and soon discovered the secret of the hidden treasure. That night, when the miser was fast asleep, the workmen crept into the garden and stole the lump of gold. When the miser found that the gold was gone, he tore his hair and cried aloud in his despair. A neighbour came running to see what was the matter, and the grief-stricken miser told him what had happened. Then the neighbour said, ”Pray stop your weeping. Go and find a stone. Place the stone in the hole and imagine that it is your lump of gold. The stone will serve your purpose or you never meant to use the gold anyway." ”To a miser, what he has is of no use than what he has not .”

Hint: While finding a title to any given passage, think about main incidents of the story & use it as a clue for the title. Think of an extremely important event in your story and think of a word that describes the event perfectly.

Complete answer: Though a title may seem like a small thing, it has a significant impact on how your story is perceived. Often the title alone determines whether someone will read your story or pass it by. Fortunately or unfortunately, it’s often the title that draws people in, despite the amount of time and energy you may have put into writing the story itself. So though it might be tempting to dash off the title, don’t do it.
In the given question, the most suitable title for the story is – The Miser and his Gold. This is the correct option because it is clearly mentioned in the given passage that the neighbour said: “pray stop your weeping...”.
There is no other thing related to any of the other three options.
Hence, option ‘b’ is the correct option.

Note: If one particular setting plays a central role in the story, consider using that setting for your title. If there’s a particular event that either predominates the story or plays a key role in setting events in motion, consider using that as your title inspiration.
