Hint: Narration is a message that tells the particulars of an act or occurrence or course of events; presented in writing or drama or cinema or as a radio or television program.

Complete answer:
To solve the given question, we first need to understand the types of narration. There are two types of narration- Direct speech, and Indirect speech (or reported speech).

Let us recall what each is.

Reported speech or indirect speech is (grammar) a form of speech used to express what another has said; often involves a change intense.
For example- If we were to change "Fred says "I will do the housework"." into reported speech it would become "Fred said that he would do the housework."
Direct speech is (grammar) the writing of speech, using the exact words of the speaker, usually between quotation marks.
In the previous example, "Fred says "I will do the housework".” Is written in direct speech.

Now, we can solve this question.

In direct speech, the given sentence is "I’ll do it tomorrow," he promised”.”
Thus, in indirect speech, it will be ‘He promised that he will do it the next day’.

Note:
In this question, it will be helpful for students to recall a few rules of narration. In indirect speech, the pronoun changes in accordance with the speaker and depends on whether s/he is referring to himself/herself or a third person. Also, in a statement sentence, we have to use ‘that’ before the reported phrase and the reported verb will have to be either ‘told’ (followed by an object) or ‘said’ / same verb as given in the direct speech (won’t be followed by an object). Often, even the present tense changes to the past when we change directly to indirect speech.
