Hint: The above question is based on the law of reflection. In this law ,it states that the angel of incident light ray is equal to the angel of reflected ray . When light rays approach towards a plane mirror we can apply this law.

Complete step by step answer:
The light rays approaching any mirror or plane surface is called incident ray and which leaves the mirror or plane surface after reflection known as reflected ray. A perpendicular is drawn at the meeting point of two rays on the plane of reflection. This perpendicular is known as a normal line. Here in the following figure incident angle or i is the angle between incident ray and the normal and reflected angle or r is the angle between normal line and the reflected line.

There are two statements in the law of reflection: first one is that the angle between the incident ray and the reflected ray is always equal and the second one is that the incident ray ,the reflected ray, is normal and the point of the incident lies in the same plane.

So, the correct answer is “Option B”.

Note: Thus we have concluded with the help of law of reflection that the incident ray, the reflected ray and the normal all lie on the same plane The law of reflection is applicable for all types of reflecting surfaces including spherical surfaces. Light is electromagnetic radiation. Light shows different phenomena such as refraction, diffusion, total internal reflection, polarisation and diffraction etc. and follows different types of laws for these phenomenons.
