Hint: The Trachoma disease is caused due to an infection which happens in the eyes due to growth of a prokaryotic celled organism, which is classified in the Monera Kingdom as per the Five – Kingdom Classification.

Complete answer
Trachoma is a disease that is caused by a bacterium known as Chlamydia trachomatis. It is a gram-negative bacterium which is composed of almost 900 genes. It is almost 400 nanometres in size, when measured across and the life cycle of this bacterium is from 24 hours to 72 hours.
In this disease, the eyelids turn inwards and are joined together and the light cannot enter the eyes. This disease is caused due to the unhygienic living conditions of the people and also in very crowded places which enables the spread of the infection among people. It is very contagious and mainly affects the children.
The different methods to eradicate this disease from the world include:
Surgery, in the advanced stages of Trachoma which involves the surgical opening of the limbs.
The antibiotics to treat this infection, in the initial stages of the disease, such as azithromycin
Cleanliness of the face and of the surroundings to prevent the spread and growth of the bacterium.

Hence, option A is the correct answer.
