Hint: This treaty marked the end of the first Anglo Sikh War on 9 March. After the death of Maharaja Ranjit Singh whose capital was in Lahore his successors started fighting among themselves for The throne. Sensing an opportunity, the Britishers started provocations which ultimately led to war and resulted in decline of Sikh rule in Punjab.
