OPTION A - The Mughal Empire was one of the largest empires to rule over India. It belongs to the Medieval period of Indian history. It started in 1526 when Babur defeated the last ruler of the Delhi Sultanate, Ibrahim Lodhi, at the second Battle of Panipat. It lasted till 1857 when the last Mughal Emperor, Bahadur Shah Zafar was sent to exile in Rangoon and Queen Victoria of England was declared as the Empress of India. The legacy of tri-metallism of coinage was started within this period. The silver "rupaiya", the gold " mohur" and the copper "tak" were the coins in use during this period. OPTION B - The Delhi Sultanate lasted from 1206-1526. It saw the rise and fall of five dynasties, the first to sit on the throne were the rulers of the Mamluk Dynasty, followed by the Khilji Dynasty. Next came the House of Tughlaqs, followed by the Sayyids and then the last to rule were the Lodhis. The kings of the Delhi Sultanate ruled in the name of the Abbasid Caliph. Iltutmish, the third ruler of the Mamluk Dynasty was the one who introduced the coins Tanka and Jital.
OPTION C - The Gupta Empire of a kingdom belonging to the Ancient period of Indian History. It was established by Sri Gupta in the 3rd Century CE. The dynasty ended sometime around 550 CE with Vishnugupta as it's last ruler. Guptas are famous for issuing gold coins of excellent quality.
