Hint:We have been given two very important aspects of geometrical mathematics which help in further development of geometry, a ray and an angle. We shall analyze more about them and further gain more knowledge about even more elemental figures in geometry.

Complete answer:
A ray has a well-defined starting point. From the starting point, a ray goes on till infinity, that is, it does not have an ending point.
Diagrammatically, the starting point of a ray is represented by a small dot and the end point of the ray which is extended till infinity is represented by an arrow.

Let us suppose we have one ray that starts at point A and goes through point B. This ray is called $\overrightarrow{AB}$ which has its vertex at point A. Now, let us suppose we have another ray, $\overrightarrow{AC}$ which starts at point A and goes through point C.
The interesting fact about these two rays is that they have the exact same vertex at A. This figure is known as an angle.
The geometric definition of an angle is when two rays share a common vertex and that common vertex is actually called the vertex of the angle.

It is written as $\angle BAC$ or $\angle A$.
Therefore, this is all about the fundamental aspects of geometry, a ray and angle.

Note:
A line segment is what most of us associate with a line in our everyday lives when we think of it from a pure geometrical view. A line segment has a starting point and an ending point. These two essential points are denoted on a diagram by two dots on the two ends of the line segment. However, a line does not have any starting point or any ending point. A line extends on both sides upto infinity. In a diagram, this is represented by an arrow on each side of the line.
