Hint: Thus in order to explain a ground wave propagation first of all we have to know the meaning of a radio wave propagation. That is, radio wave propagation shows the behavior of radio waves when they move from one point to another in the various parts of the atmosphere.

Complete step-by-step solution:
Ground wave communication is a type of radio propagation. It is an example of a surface wave. Usually these waves propagate with low and medium frequencies. They are mainly used as a transmission line between the earth’s surface and ionosphere. The ground wave propagation wave is made up of several constituent waves.
Since it is the sum of all the waves that come or reflect on earth’s surface, it is known as the surface wave or more generally as the ground wave. The waves get blocked beyond the horizon. The main advantage of the ground wave propagation is that it is not affected by the change in atmospheric conditions. Thus these waves will bend around some corners or obstructions. But the high frequency waves can't be used in the case of a ground wave propagation. This is the disadvantage of ground wave communication.

Note: The ground wave communication can be used as a one way communication. FM, AM and television broadcasting is used as ground wave communication. Also remember that the ground wave propagation is that it is not affected by the change in atmospheric conditions.
