Hint: Domestic animals when reared using agricultural setting to produce food, fiber, etc. are called ‘livestock’.

Complete answer: The domesticated animals when reared or raised using any type of agricultural setting, they are called ‘livestock.
Sometimes the term is used to refer to animals that are bred for producing items for consumption.
Such animals are reared for the production of food items such as milk, eggs, meat, etc. From them, fibers such as fur, leather, and wool are also produced.
Hence, these animals provide us huge economic values. Sometimes they are also used for transport (e.g. cattle-cart) and land management.
The feces of livestock animals are also used as manures and organic fertilizers in agriculture.
Mostly, ‘livestock’ refers to the farmed cattle and goats i.e. ruminants –those who give us dairy products.

Additional information: From the household point of view, the most necessary livestock species are chickens and pigs.
In 2004, more than 70% of the households have these two species, while, in 2010, that percentage gets decreased to around 67%.

Note: Breeding and maintenance of livestock animals are referred to as animal husbandry. A breed means a particular group of animals within a species showing similar ancestral features (size, built, color, etc.). The livestock animals’ category does not include poultry birds and fishes.
