Abducens nerve Control the lateral rectus muscle – it is associated with eye movement. (involved in outward movement)
Facial nerve Control face muscle during facial expression and jaw, provides a sense of taste, etc.
Vestibulocochlear nerve The sensory function involved in hearing and balance
Glossopharyngeal nerve Send sensory information from sinuses, back of the throat, back part of tongue and ear. Also, stimulate the voluntary movement of a back muscle of the throat.
Vagus nerve Function as both, sensory and motor. For example – sending sensory information from the chest, motor control of throat muscles, etc
Accessory nerve Motor nerve - control the muscles in the neck
Hypoglossal nerve Involved in the movement of most of the muscles in the tongue.
