Hint: This type of an essay is called an argumentative essay where we have to write either for the topic, that is, yes, school days are the happiest days of our lives or against the topic, that is, no, school days are not the happiest days of our lives.
Complete answer:
Every child turning the age of three years old is admitted to a school by his parents. Ever since then, he has begun his journey of school life of fourteen years. It is beset with a lot of experience which includes happiness, sadness, joy, victories, losses, and life lessons.
Despite the occasional fights with friends and punishments from teachers, I believe that school days are the happiest days of our lives and thus, I will be expressing my views on the topic.
A student studying in a school spends a major part of his day in school, approximately five hours. A school is beset with activities. It is a hub of learning, gossip, sports, and fests. With back-to-back classes, everyone waits for the break time since it is the time to share all the gossip. As soon as the bell rings to signify the end of the break, despair can be seen on every student’s face as they have to go back to two and a half hours of classes.
Since classes are held five days a week, everyone looks forward to the school fest and sports day. During the preparation for the school fests, everyone gets involved in trying to make their school look the best as students from other schools will be attending it. There is a flurry of activity all over the school as different groups of students are engaged in looking after different events of the fest. Decorations, chart papers, glitters, and colors are seen in everyone’s hands. Class durations are shortened to the relief of the students and probably of the teachers too. The school fest is one of the events which is most looked forward to by students and teachers alike.
Another day looked forward to is the Annual Sports Day where students participate in various sports events and get to show off their sports skills. There is a lot of team spirit and adrenaline rush involved as students cheer their hearts out for their own team.
School life also involves taking part in many competitions such as debate, quiz, singing, art, etc. Winning accolades at such competitions makes both students and the school proud.
School life is not without its share of hard work such as during examinations- studying hard, making projects, and giving viva. Rules are strict and if not followed, punishments come quickly. However, all of this is a part of growing up and learning. School life is free of major responsibilities and is more about self-development, bonding with friends, and identifying your talents. Good friends and healthy activities make school lives the happiest days of our lives.
Note: While writing an argumentative essay, we should be careful of sticking to one side of the argument only. Points for both for and against the topic should be avoided. If the essay is for the topic, the essay should be heavily based on points for the topic and if the essay is against the topic, the essay should be heavily based on points against the topic. The equal division of the essay into the pros and cons of the topic should be strictly avoided.
