Ambition refers to one’s commitment and determination to achieve success in life. My parents and teachers have always taught me to dream big. Someone rightly said, “Intelligence without ambition is a bird without wings.” Your life doesn’t hold any value, if you don’t have any ambitions in life. The people who were once committed and dedicated towards their goals are leading a successful life today. No one can achieve happiness and success in life unless they decide what they want to do in life.
My ambition in life is to become a social activist. I have always dreamed of opening a school for poor children. When I was young, I used to donate my old books and unused notebooks to the poor children who don’t get a chance to study and dream in their life. I am already one step closer to my goal, as I have started teaching some underprivileged children in my veranda. I work two jobs a day to contribute whatever I can towards their education and a better future.
There are very few good people in this world who want to dedicate their lives in serving and helping others. I cannot change the world but I can bring a change in the lives of the underprivileged children. As Mother Teresa once said, “It’s not about how much you do, but how much love you put into what you do that counts”.
