The Growing Plants Event
Mumbai, 22nd September 2020.
By school reporter
In today’s society, one cannot turn a blind eye towards pollution. Pollution is the
reckoning of today’s world and we are what has caused it to be this way. However, we
have to band together to stop it. This is why the school decided to organise a ‘growing
plants’ day to celebrate Environment Day. The eco-club of the school was the organiser of this event.
The event started with everybody gathering in the garden of the school. Once
Everybody was seated and comfortable, the speaker came out onto the stage and introduced the special guest, Mr Shah who is the Environmental representative of the ward. He said a few wise words and praised the school’s efforts to encourage planting trees. Then, there were a few songs for entertainment. Then, the main event started. In this event, the eco-club demonstrated to the seated members what they could do to be more environmentally friendly and careful. Everybody was very moved due to the efforts of the students and by the presentation and vowed to reduce waste on a personal level.
At the very end, everybody was presented with a potted plant. They were given little
pamphlets that told them the species of plant, and also the name was given to the plant so that it had a personal touch. The teachers helped everybody plant their plants into a neat design. Everybody had a lot of fun. This event was a reminder to everyone that taking care of the environment is always exciting and cause for pride. The day of 21st September was declared as the personal Environment Day for the school.
Note: Make sure that the format of report writing is followed. Then, make sure that
