People who enjoy reading poetry do so for a variety of reasons. It's possible that they enjoy the rhythm that the poet creates with the words. It's possible they enjoy the rhyme. It could be because they enjoy the vivid imagery created in a more condensed form than prose provides. It is dependent on the poem and the reader.
