Hint: You should first try to write its formula by keeping in mind that an acidic salt should contain a hydrolyzable proton in the cation, anion, or both. Then you can easily write its name accordingly.
Complete step by step answer:
We should know that there are mainly four types of salts -
I. Acidic Salt
II. Basic or Alkali Salt
III. Double salt
IV. Mixed Salts
Among all salt, we only need to discuss acidic salts.
Acidic Salts– The salt formed by partial neutralization of a diprotic or a polyprotic acid is known as an acidic salt. These salts have ionizable $H^{ + }$ ion along with another cation. Mostly the ionizable $H^{ + }$ is a part of the anion. Some acid salts are used in baking.
For eg:- $NaHSO_{ 4 }$ (sodium bisulfate)
Therefore, we can conclude that the name of the acidic salt is sodium bisulfate and the formula is $NaHSO_{ 4 }$.
Note: We can also discuss other salts -
Basic Salts – The salt formed by the partial neutralization of a strong base by a weak acid is known as a basic salt.
For eg:- Calcium carbonate ($CaCO_{ 3 }$)
Double salts – The salts that contain more than one cation or anion are known as double salt.
For eg:- Potassium sodium tartrate ($KNaC_{ 4 }H_{ 4 }O_{ 6 }.4H_{ 2 }O$) also known as Rochelle salt.
Mixed Salts – This salt consists of a fixed proportion of two salts, often sharing either a common cation or common anion.
For e.g. :- $CaOCl_{ 2 }$
