FAQs on RS Aggarwal Class 8 Mathematics Solutions Chapter-17 Construction of Quadrilaterals
1. Construct a quadrilateral
It is given that, 3 Sides and Including 2 Angles.
Let us say we need to construct a quadrilateral PQRS where the measurements are as follow:
QR = 6 cm
RS = 5 cm
PS = 4 cm
∠S = 100 degrees
∠R = 120 degrees
For the construction of quadrilaterals with some of the measurements given, first, we need to draw a rough figure of the quadrilateral with the given dimensions.
Now starting with the construction, the required steps are:
Step 1: Draw a line segment of length 5 cm and mark the ends as S and R.
Step 2: Using a protractor, draw a line from point R making 120 degrees and another line from point S making 100 degrees with the line segment SR.
Step 3: Set the compass to the radius of 4 cm and make an arc from the point S on the 100-degree line. Mark the point as P where the arc intersects the line.
Step 4: Similarly, set the compass to the radius of 6 cm and create an arc from point R on the 120-degree line. Mark the point as Q where the arc intersects the line.
Step 5: Join the points P and Q
Finally, we get the quadrilateral PQRS of the required measurements.
2. Explain four different ways to construct a quadrilateral.
A quadrilateral can be created in more than four ways, four of them are explained below.
Construct a quadrilateral when the length of four sides and at least one diagonal is given
Constructing a quadrilateral, when there are only 3 sides given, but with two diagonals.
Constructing a quadrilateral, when only 2 adjacent sides are given and the measurement of three angles.
Construct a quadrilateral, when the measurements of two angles are given, with the length of three sides of the required quadrilateral.
3. How many exercises are there in the Chapter 17 Construction of Quadrilaterals of class 8?
Chapter 17 construction of quadrilaterals of class 8 has only two exercises, exercise 17 A and 17 B. Exercise 17 A contains 13 and 17 B contains 16 questions. Solutions to all of these exercise questions are available in the RS Aggarwal class 8 maths solutions for chapter 17 provided by the Vedantu. In 17 A, students have to construct when some certain measurement of the quadrilateral is given. And in exercise 17 b, Construction has to take place on behave of properties of various quadrilaterals like Parallelogram
4. What are the advantages of RS Aggarwal Maths Solutions of Class 8 Chapter 17?
Advantages of RS Aggrawal maths solution of class 8 are-
All the solutions are prepared by subject experts of Vedantu, who have years of experience in teaching.
Easy and simple explanations are given with solutions so that students can understand and grasp the concepts better.
We make sure to have only 100% accurate solutions.
5. What types of questions are asked in exercises 17 A and B of chapter Construction of Quadrilaterals?
In 17 A, students have to construct when some certain measurement of the quadrilateral is given. They will find questions in which one or two diagonals and given with the lengths of 3 or 4 sides of quadrilaterals to construct it. They might also be able to find questions in which two or three angles are given along with the measurements of adjacent angles and on which they have to construct it
And in exercise 17 b, Construction has to take place on behave of properties of various quadrilaterals like Parallelogram. For example, the question told the student to create a Rhombus.
