What did the evil fox plan? How did the rabbit get out of that situation? Find the thrilling end of this interesting animal story.

The Witty Brer Rabbit

Brer Rabbit was a witty little animal that all the other animals paid respect to. He was known for his wisdom but liked to boss a lot. One day, the Brer Fox wanted to teach the Brer Rabbit a lesson. He wanted to catch and kill the rabbit. So, he made an evil plan with tar.

The Fox’s Plan

He found a tar pit. He put oil in his hands and started collecting tar from the pit to make a baby. By using oil, he sculpted a nice structure of a baby that almost looks original. He put a hat on the tar baby's head. It said ‘How are you?’

He then carried the tar baby and put it on the road that Brer Rabbit takes every day and jumped behind a bush to wait.

Brer Rabbit and Tar Baby

Brer Rabbit was a gentleman. He saw a baby sitting in the middle of the road. He took his hat off and said, “Good Morning! How are you doing?”

Brer Rabbit was so annoyed that he tried to remove the hat of the tar baby and said, “You don’t have to wear this”. His right hand got stuck. The rabbit was more annoyed. He took a swing with his left hand and got stuck again.

He then tried to kick the baby with his legs and got stuck too. He cannot move now.

The Fox and Brer Rabbit in Briar Patch

In this Brer Rabbit and the Tar Baby Story, the fox was successful. He made the best plan and outsmarted the witty rabbit.

He appeared with a grin on his face from the bush and said, “Brer Rabbit, how do you want to die?”

The rabbit understood that he needed to be calm. He said, “Whatever it is, don’t throw me in the briar patch.”

The fox said, “Should I roast and eat you? Should I feed you to the tigers?”

The rabbit added, “Whatever you do, don’t throw me in the briar patch?”

The fox was curious and said, “Why are you saying that over and over again?”

The rabbit said, “I want to die a faster death, not a horrible one in the briar patch.”
