The story of faith trust and hope begins with a single mother moving from Utah to California as she accepted the care of her father to assist her financially with taking care of her children as she was weak physically and financially. After a few weeks, she started getting better but remained at her father’s place as things were a bit easier for her there and had hired a few mechanics to help with her father’s there. That winter was a bit too rainy and all of the children were kept indoors. One morning, her young little boy ran up to her and asked her for a pair of red boots. The mother felt really bad as they were not that financially great to afford brand new leather boots. So she just told him to pray for it and hope that he will get it. That very night, she spotted her son praying to God to give him a pair of red boots. The mother was touched but also depressed.

The next day, one of the mechanics brought over a pair of red boots for her son as an early New Year’s gift. He was so very happy but immediately started crying when he found out that the shoes were not fitting him. Just then, another mechanic brought over the same pair of red boots that fit him perfectly and was delighted to find a light red pair of woollen stockings. The first mechanic offered to exchange the smaller boots for a beautiful hat. The mother was so relieved and happy with what just happened. Four days later, their neighbour came over saying that she is out of flour. The boy simply went up to her and advised her to ask the lord for some flour since he will most certainly give it to her.

He took the neighbour to his room and showed her how to pray, asking her to repeat the prayerful words after him. This time, however, the mother was sceptical and rushed to the nearest grocery store and bought a bag of flour to be kept in front of the neighbour’s house. The neighbour exclaimed in complete surprise when she saw a bag of floor sitting outside her main door. Few years later, the neighbour asked the mother if her son was still a person who believed in God and she replied that he still was a firm believer of God just as how he was when he was a little boy. This story is as true as any other story that has been narrated.
