Once there was a colony of rabbits. They enjoyed living together with friends. They loved to find the juiciest carrots in the forests and enjoy eating together. One day a fox was passing by. He saw the rabbits eating carrots and enjoying the beautiful day. He decided to hunt down a few of them and enjoy a hearty meal.

He slowly approached the rabbits by hiding in the bushes. He was getting ready to pounce on them when a rabbit spotted him. The rabbit alerted the others in the colony. Every other rabbit ran in different directions and puzzled the fox.

The fox ran behind a few of them but in vain. The rabbits were intelligent enough to make a fool of the fox. When the fox gave up, they regrouped in their respective burrows.

The fox did not lose hope. The next day, he went to the place where the rabbits visited to find juicy carrots and other fruits. He knew all the rabbits would be there.

He waited there for the rabbits to arrive. He waited the entire day and let the rabbits eat all they wanted. He thought that the rabbits would be all tired and would not be able to run with a full stomach.

He waited patiently in the bush and looked for a chance to pounce. When the fox made a jump, a rabbit spotted his shadow and started running. Seeing him, all the other rabbits ran faster with the same strategy.

Before the fox could even decide which rabbit to follow, they were out of sight. This time also, the fox could not catch one rabbit and had to return to his home empty stomach.

Fox Changed His Mind

The fox was living alone in the forest. He had to survive alone. So, he was determined this time to make a stronger move and hunt down a few rabbits. Winter is coming, and the rabbits must be ready with a stash of food. So, they were working hard.

It was the right time to pounce on the busy rabbits. This time, the fox has already climbed a tree and waited for the right moment.

This time also, a rabbit spotted a shadow from the branches that did not move as the leaves do with the wind. The rabbit raised the alarm, and all of them fled. The fox jumped and pounced to get hold of one.

He cornered one and succeeded. All the rabbits stopped running and regrouped to save their friends.

Seeing the rabbits, the fox changed his mind. He thought that he had no right to kill their friend for dinner. The fox asked the rabbits whether he could share food with them or not. The rabbits were happy to make a new friend.
