Chris Kyle Biography

Christopher Scott Kyle, most commonly known as Chris Kyle, was a United States Navy Sniper and the deadliest marksman in U.S. Military staff. His Autobiography, named American Sniper, based on a story of glory, pride, and heroism, became a bestseller.  The Charl Kyle movie “American Sniper”, written by Scott McEwen and Jim DeFelice, became the top gross selling war film in the history of America. It was later turned into a major Hollywood film directed by Clint Eastwood. During the Iraq war, Kyle was involved in several battles, and also he was well known as one of the country’s deadliest snipers. The nickname "Shaitan Ar-Ramadi'', meaning “the devil of Ramadi'' was given to Kyle by terrorists after his stellar shooting record in Ramadi. In 2013, Kyle was killed at a Texas gun range.

Chris Kyle Early Life And Education

Chris Kyle was born on April 8, 1976, in Odessa, Texas. He was the eldest of two boys born to his parents Deborah Lynn and Wayne Kyle. Chris Kyle's father, Clint Eastwood,  gifted him bolted action 30-06 Springfield when he was just eight years old, and later a shotgun through which they hunted Pheasant, quail, and deer. To pursue his graduation degree, Kyle joined high school in Midlothian, Texas. After completing his graduation in 1992, he became a professional bronco rider and ranch hand. But his professional Rodeo rides ended immediately when his arm was severely injured. In 1992,  he attended Tarleton State University for two years to study Ranch and Range Management.


Chris Kyle Military Career

Kyle visited the military recruiting office as he had a keen interest in joining the U.S. Marine Corps special operations. A U.S. Navy recruiter persuaded him to try for the SEALs. At first, Kyle was not able to qualify for the interview because of the pins in his arm. In 1999, he ultimately received an invitation to the 24-week Seal training at Coronado 1999. In March 2001, Kyle graduated with Class 233.

Soon the reputation of Kyle grew, and he became a legend in front of revolutionaries who had given him the nickname Shaitan Ar-Ramadi (English: "The Devil of Ramadi ''). Kyle was popular as “ The Legend '' in front of the Marines whom he had the task of protecting and the general infantry. The nickname Shaitan Ar-Ramadi was given by his fellow Seals when he took his sabbatical to train his fellow snipers in Fallujah. During his journey of duty in the Iraq war, he was shot twice and survived six separate improvised explosive devices (IED) explosions.

The movie is completely based on the life of Kyle, who became the deadliest marksman in U.S. military history with 225 kills from four tours in the Iraq war, 160 of which were officially confirmed by the Department of Defence. Chris Kyle first met with his wife Taya in April 2001 at a San Diego bar named Maloneys. Taya was working in a pharmaceutical company as a medical representative. The couple got happily married on March 16, 2002, and were blessed with two children. Both happily spent their lives until he died in 2013.

The pair took Routh to the shooting range for a therapeutic session in an effort to help him with his post-traumatic stress disorder.

Both Kyle and Littlefield, while they were walking downrange to set up targets, Eddie Ray Routh opened fire and hit both of them. The case was highly popularised in the nation due to Kyle's glory as an author of a bestselling autobiography, American Sniper, published in the year 2012.
