Summary of Chapter 3- Lalu and Peelu

The chapter begins by depicting a mother hen, who has two chicks, Lalu and Peelu, one is red while the other is yellow and both of them love different things. The red chick Lalu was fond of red things. Similarly, Peelu was yellow and he also loved yellow things. One day, Lalu accidentally ate a red chilli, and his mouth started to burn. Suddenly he cried loudly. Peelu brought Lalu a yellow laddu to comfort him.

 

The story ends by giving a lesson to students on how important and valuable a family is in times of need. It also imparts the moral that family and friends are an important part of any person's life.
