A Brief Summary CBSE Class 2 Chapter 7 English Poem On My Blackboard I Can Draw

The poem “On My Blackboard I can Draw” is narrated by a little child describing all the various things he can draw on his blackboard. The poem is written in very simple and concise language.

The poem ‘On My Blackboard I can Draw’ starts with the narrator stating that he can draw one little house with one green door on the blackboard. The narrator continues to tell us in the poem what he wants to draw around his house. He wants to draw two brown gates around the house that open wide and three red steps that lead inside the house.

The narrator then says he would like to draw 4 little chimneys above the house in the color white. The house would also have 5 windows with sunlight passing through it, basking the house with light and warmth.

The narrator reveals that he would also like six bright yellow marigolds planted outside the house, standing tall against the wall. The marigolds would presumably thrive under the warmth of the sun.
