An Introduction to the Chapter

The Natkhat Chuha is a story of a rat who one day decides to pay a visit to the nearby town. The rat was astonished and was filled with excitement when he reached the town and saw so many new things. The rat came up with the wish to wear a hat when he visited a  shop that was selling beautiful and colorful materials to sew clothes. 

One asked the shopkeeper to give him some material to make a hat, but the shopkeeper denied it. In the end, the rat pays a visit to the king, seeing the king sitting on the throne he even develops a desire to sit on the throne but the king denies it and orders his soldiers to catch the rat. The rat didn't come into the hand of any of the soldiers, he later threatens the same thing to the king that he is going to nibble his ears at night if not allowed to sit on the throne. The king got frightened and gave in to the rat’s wish. The rat sat on the chair for a long time and then later returned to its hole to show his friends his hat.
