Andhra Pradesh Common Entrance Examination is conducted by the authorities of the State Board of Technical Education and Training. AP Polycet is set as a gateway for diploma admissions into various universities or colleges. The officials are expecting to conduct AP Polycet 2021 examination tentatively in the month of June 2021 but the decision is yet to be taken due to the lockdown. AP PolyCET 2021 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria of AP Polycet 2021 is listed below:

  1. Nationality: Only Indian students can apply for AP Polycet 2021. 

  1. Domicile: Students who are applying for AP Polycet should be the residents of the state of Andra Pradesh. 

  1. Education Qualification: The student should have cleared SSC examination or equivalent from a recognized university or board with aggregate marks of 35% in Mathematics and Science. 

  1. Candidates Age: At present, there is no Age limit for the students applying for AP Polycet. 

  1. State Eligibility: Applicants must belong to the state of Andhra Pradesh and they also should have a domicile of the state Andhra Pradesh. 

  1. Mandatory Subjects: Students who belong to the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) or AP Open School Society (APOSS) or Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) or Indian Council for Secondary Education (ICSE) or any other examination which is recognized by the Government of AP are eligible. Applicants must and should have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as their main subjects with at least 35% in each subject. 

  1. Candidates Appearing: Students who are appearing for the SSC examination or who are waiting for the exam results can also apply for this examination. Students who have a compartment in their SSC examination, are also eligible to apply for the examination. But, they have to clear their compartment before the admission process begins.

1. Is there any entrance exam for a diploma?

The technical education of state boards in most of the states in India conduct entrance tests for the admission process into the diploma programmes offered by various polytechnics colleges and universities in the state. A candidate who has attained the diploma is basically eligible to enter either into B.Tech or B.E. programmes in the second year under a scheme of lateral entry.

2. How many members wrote the Polycet exam 2019?

A total of 1,03,591 candidates had appeared for the exam, out of which, 95850 were declared qualified. The Technical Education of State Board and Training, Vijayawada, conducts the Andhra Pradesh Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (POLYCET) for admission to various courses in the state.

3. When was the polytechnic exam?

The exam has to be conducted on 14th & 15th June 2021 but, the appropriate date has not been mentioned by the board due to the COVID-19. This exam is basically managed by the Uttar Pradesh Board of Technical Education (UPBTE). JEECUP (Joint Entrance Examination Council Uttar Pradesh) is one of the famous examination boards which is also known as the UP Polytechnic examination.
