KCET Syllabus and Exam Pattern

The KCET 2017 examination will be conducted in offline mode. There would be no negative marking; marks would not be deducted for incorrect answers. The syllabus of the KCET board will depend on the Entrance Test of Selected course by the Student. The basis Subject of Concepts in the Entrance Exam in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.

The minimum marks that are to be obtained is 12 out of 50 for Gadinadu and Horanadu candidates who take up the Kannada language test. Besides, candidates who score 12 or more than 12 marks shall be given ranks.

KCET Exam Pattern

Chemistry paper is conducted on the second day of the KCET exam, including Physics. Both papers will be conducted for 60 marks each with 80 minutes duration. Each question paper will be of multiple choice type. Each subject question paper will be in 16 different versions, and each question has 4 different options. Each related question will carry 1 mark. Every candidate is expected to attempt all the questions in order to obtain the maximum marks. There is no choice among questions, in other words. Candidates or students have to solve the examination with a blue or black ball point pen to mark OMR sheet options.
