NTSE 2020 paper solution Chandigarh (MAT)

NTSE (National Talent Search Examination) conducted by the National Council of Education Research and Technology (NCERT), is a scholarship test conducted for identifying the bright students wanting to pursue their higher education in science and social science. The Stage-1 of the exam was conducted on 13th december 2020 for 11 state including Chandigarh and you can find answer key of Chandigarh MAT here.

Use of Chandigarh Key Stage I 2021:

After completing an exam, students tend to feel anxious and look for solutions to check their answers. The Mental Ability Test which enables students to test their logical and analytical skills, is quite helpful even for their further education levels. Reasoning questions like seating arrangements, mirror image questions, coding and decoding are the types of questions that are asked. Also, Logical and Mathematical questions are asked in the exam. Unlike the previous year, the 2020-21 MAT paper was considered easy to moderate level. Coding, decoding, Seating arrangements, missing numbers, mirror images, questions on simplification, a combination of letters and numbers etc were asked in the paper. Together it was not a hard paper, students could score well on the MAT exam.

1. What is the criteria to get selected for the Stage II level?

Students need to clear the cutoff range of stage I. The cutoff marks for stage I is around 86-90 for MAT, and there is an overall cutoff of 172-175 marks. States /UT will decide the students for Stage II based on the cutoff clearance and the allotted quota for the recommendation of a specific number of students. Also, students need to secure 80% of marks in the state board exams to qualify for stage II level. Students need to have good practice and knowledge on the given syllabus to get into stage 2.

2. When will the official answer key be available?

From Jan 15, 2021, students can check the official answer key of the NTSE 2020-21 Answer key of MAT Chandigarh. Till then, they can follow up with the unofficial key and check whether they could qualify for the next level. 4. When is the NTSE Stage 2 exam conducted?

It is the most complicated part of the NTSE exam which is the final part to announce the results of students who will receive scholarships. NTSE stage 2 exam is conducted in June 2021 and the unofficial answer key is available here with the syllabus and other eligibility criteria. Students can check the unofficial key of the stage 1 exam and get prepared for the stage 2 exam, without wasting their time waiting on the results. Even if you don't clear, it will be useful for next year's exam.

5. What is the difficulty level of the MAT NTSE exam of Chandigarh Stage I?

The difficulty level of the 2020-21 MAT stage I of the NTSE exam is of moderate level. The NTSE exam is one of the hardest levels of exams for student scholarships. The year 2020-21 stage I exam was not difficult or easy, but moderate. The Mental Ability Test contains questions on Aptitude, Logical and Reasoning, so if students practice on the sample papers, and the previous papers they could crack this level with ease.
