PTU Exam Syllabus:

Here is a brief introduction to the PTU Exam syllabus:


  • Under Graduate level- Various topics from 12th level subjects

  • Post Graduate level- Topics from graduation level subjects

 

When the Cut Off Marks are Necessary:

In a way, the PTU Cut off mark falls under the PTU Exam Pattern. As it will be announced after the declaration of the result, it should be your aim and always focus to score the best mark. The highest mark scored in the examination will be set as the cut off mark. 


You must note here that if your score is below the set cut off mark, you will be called for the counselling session.


The Eligibility Needed for PTU Exam:

Under Graduate:

  • B. Tech- Completion of 12th level examination/Diploma or IB Diploma with Mathematics with a minimum score of 55% is mandatory

  • B. Tech (Lateral Entry)- Completion of Electrical/Mechanical/Marine/Electronics with 45% with the approval of AICTW/SBTE is mandatory.

  • B. Sc.- Again, passing the 10+2 examination with a minimum of 50% is necessary from a recognized board of education.

  • B.A- You must pass 10+2 examination with a minimum of 50% from a recognized board of education.


Post Graduate:

  • MCA- Passing 3 years bachelor’s degree after Intermediate with 50% marks is required.

  • MBA- Bachelor’s degree in any stream with a minimum of 50% and a valid CMAT scorecard is mandatory.

  • M. Tech:  Bachelor’s degree in B. Tech or M. Sc with minimum 50% of marks is needed.


Tips for You to Follow for the PTU Exam Pattern:

  • As it is said that practice makes a man perfect, you have to keep on revising the syllabus for the upcoming examination.

  • Don’t lose your peace. You will surely perform well in the examination.

  • You can follow previous years’ questions to get an idea about what kinds of questions are asked.

  • Increase your writing and thinking speed. The examination will have a limited time for you to finish the paper. The faster you attempt the paper, the earlier you shall finish.

  • Make sure to keep your answer paper neat.

1. What Percentage is Needed for the PTU Exam?

A: A minimum of 50% for all the courses and 45% for Lateral Entry in B. Tech is required in class 10 and 10+2 examination.
