DNB Full Form

DNB medical stands for the Diplomate of the National Board. It is a postgraduate master's degree similar to an MD or MS degree awarded to a specialized Doctor in India after the completion of three years of tenancy. DNB courses are managed and degrees are awarded by the National Board of Examination (NBE), New Delhi to the candidates on the successful completion of their postgraduate tenancy. Candidates who have completed their MD/MS program in their respective subjects are also eligible to appear in the final DNB Certification exam along with the DNB trainees.

What is DNB?

DNB degree full form, Diplomate of National Board is a program similar to the postgraduate and postdoctoral degree in the field of medicine. This exam provides the same recognition to the students as that of MD and MS.

The program is divided into subcategories which include DBN in broad specialist and super-specialist. DNB candidates have wide scope prospects in this career as they can join as specialists and faculty members in renowned government and private agencies.

The program offers all the purpose of helping students to gain comprehensive knowledge about the specialized field. Candidates are skilled in performing academics, meetings, reviews, seminars, managing records, as well as performing emergency medical duties.

MBBS DNB Full Form and Eligibility Criteria

MBBS DNB full form, Diplomate of National Board, has the following eligibility criteria:

• Candidates must have an MBBS Degree/ Professional Pass Certificate according to provisions of the Indian Council Medical Act, 1956 and retain a permanent/professional registration certificate of MBBS qualification issued by the Medical Council of India/ State Medical Council.

• Candidates must have completed one year of membership on or before March 31 of the current academic year.

• Must have qualified NEET PG Entrance examination.

DNB Qualification  Recognition

The MBBS DNB full form, Diplomate of National Board, is recognized by the Government of India, and a gazette order is published for the same. Also, the ministry of family and health welfare has issued a notification mentioning that a DNB degree should always be considered equivalent to MD/MS degree.

The degree Diplomate of the National Board (DNB medical abbreviation) is awarded by the National Board of Examination. The list of renowned qualifications awarded by the board in different boards in distinct broad/super specialities as approved by the Government of India are included in the first schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.

The failure rate for DNB exams is much higher than their MD/MS counterparts due to the strict unbiased examination pattern. The candidate has to attempt a final examination in a different institution located in a different state, facing an undesignated examiner hailing from different parts of India.

The MD DNB full form, Diplomate of National Board, awarded by the National Board of Examination is similar to the postgraduate and postdoctoral qualifications awarded by other individual universities for all purposes, including assigning to a teaching post.
