A Brief Sketch of FTP:

We can say that the full form of FTP is the File Transfer Protocol. In simple non-technical words, FTB is a means to transfer files between two or more computers. The action takes place between a client and a server, where the client controls the functioning, and the server transmits the file. The transfer starts on sending a request to the server by the client browser. Since the client is dominant on the server, it can download, delete, upload, or moderate the files on the server.

FAQs on FTP Full Form

Q1: What is FTP?

A: FTP is the File Transfer Protocol that computers use to transfer files between two or more computers on the same network.

Q2: How does FTP Work?

A: FTP works with a client and a server. The client is dominant over the server. The client can transfer files to the server by uploading the required file while the server stores it. On the other hand, the server can also send files to the client network via the downloading process using various channels.

Q3: Why is FTP Important For a Business?

A: FTP is a secure way of storing and accessing files in times of need. It creates a network between sister companies and employees. When the files are kept stored in the server, all the users can access them when needed. The users can upload files for the other users to access them by downloading them. The risk of losing the files and leakage of confidentiality runs low when FTPs are used.
