Holders holding a master's degree in any discipline of science, mathematics, statistics, or computer applications, or those in their last year of such studies.
Candidates enrolled in the second or higher year of a four-year integrated master's degree program in engineering or technology (Post-B.Sc.).
Candidates who are in their fourth or higher year of a five-year integrated master's degree program or a dual degree program in engineering or technology.
Candidates with qualifications obtained through examinations conducted by professional societies recognized by the UGC/AICTE (e.g. AMIE by IE(India), AMICE by the Institute of Civil Engineers (India)-ICE(I), by AM IETE(India), which considers it to be comparable to B.E./B.Tech are eligible for the GATE examination.
Those who have completed section A of such professional courses or the equivalent are also qualified. The test conducting authority has violated the age restriction requirement for appearing in GATE.
How to Apply for the GATE Examination

There will be 25 one-mark questions and 30 two-mark questions in the Technical part and Engineering Mathematics part combined, accounting for around 85 percent of total marks. Negative marks are awarded for incorrect MCQ responses. For incorrect MCQ responses, 1/3rd of the original mark is usually deducted.
Result and the GATE Examination
IIT Kharagpur will disclose the GATE 2022 results according to schedule. By logging into their account, candidates will be able to view their GATE results. GATE scores will be included in the final result, which will be utilized in the admissions process.
