Full Form of NASSCOM

NASSCOM full form is the National Association of Software and Services Companies. NASSCOM, a non-profit industry association, is the apex body for India's 194 billion dollars IT-BPM industry, which has made a tremendous contribution to India's GDP, exports, employment, infrastructure, and global visibility. This industry employs the most people in the private sector in India.

NASSCOM has relentlessly supported the IT-BPM industry in its ongoing quest for trust and respect from various stakeholders since its inception in 1988, even as it reorients itself time and again to remain innovative, without ever losing its humane and friendly touch.

NASSCOM is focused on building the architecture critical to the development of the IT-BPM sector through policy advocacy, as well as assisting in establishing the strategic direction for the sector to unleash its potential as well as dominate newer frontiers.

NASSCOM's 3000+ members account for 90 percent of the industry's revenue, allowing the organization to spearhead initiatives at the local, national, and global levels. As a result, the IT-BPM industry has emerged as a global powerhouse.

Membership

Members of NASSCOM include Indian companies involved in software development, software services, and IT-enabled/BPO services. NASSCOM's primary role has been to ensure that service quality and intellectual property rights enforcement is properly implemented in the Indian software and BPO industries. As of June 2007, over 1,110 information technology companies in India were members of NASSCOM, which included both domestic software/ITES firms and multinationals operating in India.


Full Form of Nasscom

The NASSCOM full form is the National Association of Software and Services Companies. It is a trade organisation for the Indian IT and BPO industries. Its member companies primarily provide software development and services, as well as IT-enabled/BPO services. It is a non-profit organisation based in New Delhi, India, that was founded in 1988. NASSCOM now has over 2200 members, who account for 90 percent of the industry's revenue. Raman Roy (Chairman and CEO of Quatrro) is the current chairman of NASSCOM (2017-2018). NASSCOM's current Vice-Chairman (2017-2018) is Rishad Premji (chief strategy officer and member of the Board of Wipro).
