IIT Bhilai Scholarships

Merit-Cum-Mean Scholarship:
In the OBC and UR categories, a maximum of 25% of students can get this scholarship.
Eligibility criteria: To avail the benefit all throughout their course, the students must maintain a minimum CGPA of 6.0.
SC/ST Scholarship:
All the students belonging to SC/ST categories are eligible for this scholarship. The following allowances are provided to the students:

Free Student Scholarship:
In undergraduate programs, the grant of free studentship can be availed by 10 percent of the students. However, to avail this scholarship, a minimum CGPA of 6 must be maintained. For other economically backward students availing 2/3rd of remission for the tuition, they are eligible to avail 1/3rd reimbursement for tuition fee as well.
IIT Bhilai Placements
IIT Bhilai was established in 2016 following which the first batch of students for undergraduate has not passed yet. Currently, they provide the students with a training and placement program. Under this, a summer internship of 11 weeks is carried out. In 2019, during summers, over 150 students were placed as interns in some of the top companies, namely, Robert Bosch, Career Midea, Think Future Technologies and many others. Many students also got qualified for internationally coveted-programs. One of them included Google Summer of Code (GSOC).
