IIT Indore - Previous Year’s Cut-Off Trend

IIT Indore provides a four-year B.Tech programme at the undergraduate level. Admission to the programme is made based on the rank that the candidate achieves in JEE advanced, followed by the counselling conducted for the selected candidates by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) Counselling. The institute-specific, for specific IITs across the country, the cut-off will be announced after JEE Advanced 2022 is declared. Thereafter, the seat allocation process starts for the candidates.

The allotment of the seats in the college is done on the basis of the cut-off, which varies for different colleges and the candidates' preference for the courses and the colleges. The colleges' cut-offs are generally done in seven rounds of JoSAA Counselling based on opening and closing ranks for each of the programme-specific specialisations.

However, during the Covid-19 situation, only six rounds of counselling were conducted. The cut-offs are further categorised based on gender and various categories other than General like SC, ST, OBC, PwD, etc.

The previous year's IIT cut-off is given in the below-mentioned tables.

FAQs on IIT Indore

1. What are the Criterias to Enroll in the B.Tech Course in IIT Indore?

IIT Indore is one of the institutions that accept admissions based on JEE Advanced cut-offs released by JoSAA. For a candidate to enrol himself in the course, he has to fill out an online application form from the website only if he fulfils the eligibility criteria. Once JoSAA accepts the form, the candidate would then be allowed to sit in the exam.

There is then one more round that the candidate has to clear which is JEE Mains. The cut-off marks list is then provided where the students can check if they have been selected for the course.

2. Can Everyone Apply for IIT Indore? Can Foreign Nationals Apply for the Course too?

No, there are criteria to apply for all the courses in the institute. The student must have opted for Physics, Chemistry, and Maths as his main subjects in 12th standard. Moreover, he also needs to ensure that he secured at least 75 percent marks in 10+2. This makes the student eligible for the JEE Main exam. Once all these eligibility criteria are fulfilled, he can then go ahead and fill out the application form online and even pay the registration fee online on the same platform.

Yes, NRI can apply for the course too. But there is no separate quota for such candidates. They have to apply in the same way as Indian nationals and clear JEE Mains and JEE advanced. They will then have to seek admission under the same cut-off ranks declared by the committee.
