Steps to Check JEE Main Results (Session 2)

If you are aware of the JEE Main result date and time, checking your results will be an easy process. You just need to follow the steps mentioned below.

• Go to the official website of JEE Main.

• Click on the link for JEE Main results.

• Enter your application number, DOB, and the security code in the provided space.

• Click on Login. 

• The JEE Main 2024 session 2 result will appear on your screen.

• Click on the ‘Download’ option provided at the bottom of that page. 

• Print out a copy of your results for future reference.

Details Included in JEE Marks Sheet 2024

The JEE Main 2024 mark sheet will contain the following information.

• Name of the candidate

• Application number

• Parent’s name

• Category Enrollment number

• Date of Birth

• Gender

• State code of eligibility

• Nationality

• NTA score for each subject

• Total normalized NTA scores

What Your Scorecard Includes:

• Name

• Roll number

• Individual subject scores (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics)

• Overall percentile score

• All India Rank (AIR) for JEE Advanced eligibility (declared after Session 2)

Understanding Percentile Scores and Cut-offs:

• Percentile Score: Indicates your relative position compared to other candidates. A higher percentile signifies better performance.

• Cut-off Score: Minimum percentile score required for eligibility to certain programs or benefits.

• JEE Advanced Cut-off: This cut-off, based on the best of both sessions, will be announced after the Session 2 results. Qualifying candidates can appear for JEE Advanced, the gateway to prestigious IITs and NITs.

How To Calculate a Probable Score by Yourself?

NTA has released JEE Main 2024 session 1 answer keys on February 6. Candidates can gauge their scores and ranks with a fair degree of precision using this answer key. They can even calculate their chances of getting into various colleges based on previous records of these institutions.

However, you must follow the NTA guidelines strictly while calculating your score. Even one mark can potentially affect your result by a massive margin. Here’s how you can calculate your final score using NTA’s answer key. 

Paper 1:

Paper 1 consists of a total of 90 questions of which candidates need to attempt 75. The highest possible score in Paper 1 is 300.

• Tally your answers against the correct answers provided in the answer key.

• For each correct answer, add 4 marks to your score.

• For every wrong answer, subtract 1 mark from your score.

Calculate your final score as: (Number of correct answers x 4) – (Number of incorrect answers x1).

Marking Scheme for B.Arch & B.Plan

No marks deduction for incorrect responses in numerical value type questions. You can compute your score using the following calculation.

(Total number of correct answers in Aptitude and Mathematics test x 4) – (Number of wrong answers in Aptitude and Mathematics x 1) + marks obtained in the Drawing test.

NTA will soon release the JEE Main 2024 cut-off. However we have provided an estimation, the actual cutoff score might differ from the below table.

What Next After JEE Main Result 2024?

JEE Advanced Registration: If your percentile score meets the eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced, registration for the second phase of JEE Main, which acts as a qualifier for JEE Advanced, will likely start in mid-February. Be prepared to register promptly once the dates are announced.
