Urdu is a moderately hard language especially for the students who take the language as a second language in their CBSE curriculum. People often say it is harder than English, French, or German. Urdu is definitely on the verge of declining. However, this is true mainly for India. The overall population is increasing steeply whereas the Urdu speakers are declining at the rate of 4.2%. The reason behind its decline is mostly the political and religious influences. Urdu was once the most spoken language but presently there are very few takers. Presently the Government of India is taking enough measures to revive the language.
