1. वायु, जल तथा थल पर उपयोग किये जाने वाले परिवहन के साधनों में प्रत्येक के दो उदाहरण लिखिए।

उत्तर: वायु -हवाई जहाज तथा हेलीकॉप्टर।

जल -नाव और पानी का जहाज (शिप)।

थल -बस और बैलगाड़ी।
 

2. रिक्त स्थानों की पूर्ति कीजिए –

1.एक मीटर में …….. सेंटीमीटर होते हैं।

उत्तर: 100

2.पाँच किलोमीटर में ……. मीटर होते हैं।

उत्तर: 5000

3.झूले पर किसी बच्चे की गति ……. होती है।

उत्तर: आवर्ती गति

4.किसी सिलाई मशीन की सुई की गति ……….. होती है।

उत्तर: आवर्ती गति।

5.किसी साइकिल के पहिए की गति ……….. होती है।

उत्तर: वर्तुल गति।

3. पग अथवा कदम का उपयोग लम्बाई के मानक मात्रक के रूप में क्यों नहीं किया जाता?

उत्तर: प्रत्येक व्यक्ति के पग अथवा कदम की माप अलग-अलग होती है। व्यक्तियों के कदमों की लम्बाई घटती बढ़ती रहती है, यदि दो व्यक्तियों द्वारा किसी लम्बाई को नापा जाता है, तो हो सकता है कि दोनों लम्बाईयाँ समान न हों। अतः कदम का उपयोग लम्बाई के मानक मात्रक के रूप में नहीं किया जाता।
 

4. निम्नलिखित के लम्बाई के बढ़ते परिमाणों में व्यवस्थित कीजिए –

1 मीटर, 1 सेंटीमीटर, 1 किलोमीटर, 1 मिलीमीटर

उत्तर: 1 मिलीमीटर < 1 सेंटीमीटर < 1 मीटर < 1 किलोमीटर
 

5. किसी व्यक्ति की लम्बाई 1.65 मीटर है। इसे सेन्टीमीटर तथा मिलीमीटर में व्यक्त कीजिए।

उत्तर:-

व्यक्ति की लम्बाई = 1.65 मीटर

1 मीटर = 100 सेंटीमीटर

∴ 1.65 मीटर = 100 × 1.65 सेंटीमीटर = 165 सेंटीमीटर

अतः मनुष्य की लम्बाई = 165 सेंटीमीटर

पुनः 1 मीटर = 100 सेंटीमीटर = 1000 मिलीमीटर

∴ 1.65 मीटर = 165 सेंटीमीटर = 165 × 10 मिलीमीटर = 1650 मिलीमीटर

अतः मनुष्य की लम्बाई = 1650 मिलीमीटर
 

6. राधा के घर तथा उसके स्कूल के बीच की दूरी 3250 मीटर है। इस दूरी को किलोमीटर में व्यक्त कीजिए।

उत्तर: हम जानते है 1000 मीटर = 1 किलोमीटर

इसलिए 1 मीटर = 1/ 1000 किलोमीटर

इसलिए 3250 मीटर= (1/1000) X 3250 किलोमीटर

= 3.250 किलोमीटर
 

7. किसी स्वेटर बुनने की सलाई की लम्बाई मापते समय स्केल पर यदि इसके एक सिरे का पाठ्यांक 3.0 सेंटीमीटर तथा दूसरे सिरे का पाठ्यांक 33.1 सेंटीमीटर है, तो सलाई की लम्बाई कितनी है?

उत्तर: स्केल पर एक सिरे का पाठ्यांक = 3.0 सेंटीमीटर दूसरे सिरे का पाठ्यांक = 33.1 सेंटीमीटर

∴ स्वेटर बुनने की सलाई की लम्बाई = 33.1 – 3.0 सेंटीमीटर = 30.1 सेंटीमीटर
 

8. किसी चलती हुई साइकिल के पहिए तथा चलते हुए छत के पंखे की गतियों में समानताएँ तथा असमानताएँ लिखिए।

उत्तर: चलती हुई साइकिल के पहिए तथा चलते हुए छत के पंखे की गतियों में –

समानताएँ:

साइकिल का पहिया तथा पंखे की पंखुड़ियाँ एक बिन्दु पर स्थित होती हैं।

दोनों में एक स्थिर बिन्दु के सापेक्ष वर्तुल गति (Circular Motion) होती है।

असमानताएँ:

साइकिल के पहिए की गति 

छत के पंखे की गति

इसमें रेखीय गति होती है।      

इसमें रेखीय गति नहीं होती है।

इसमें संरेखीय गति होती है।       

इसमें आवर्ती गति होती है।


9. आप दूरी मापने में लचीले फीते का उपयोग क्यों नहीं करते? यदि आप किसी दूरी को लचीले फीते से मापें तो अपनी माप को किसी अन्य को बताने में आपको जो समस्याएँ आएँगी उनमें से कुछ समस्याएँ लिखिए।

उत्तर: दूरी मापने में लचीले फीते का उपयोग इसलिए नहीं करते क्योंकि लचीलेपन के कारण दूरी की लम्बाई बदल सकती हैं I

समस्याएँ-

लम्बाई का मान सही नहीं आएगा।

समान लम्बाई का मान अलग-अलग आएगा।
