AIPVT 2023
AIPVT 2023 admission will be undertaken through the NEET exam. The Veterinary Council of India used to organize and conduct the All India Pre-Veterinary Test (AIPVT ). The AIPVT 2023 admissions or admissions to veterinarian courses will be now given through NEET merit list. Aspirants seeking admission in AH and B.V.SC courses don’t have to register for AIPVT 2023 by filling a separate veterinary application form 2023, they do not need to sit in a separate veterinary entrance exam 2023, however they need to undergo a separate veterinary counselling 2023. Ever Since 2017, AIPVT aspirants only have to appropriately fill the NEET application form and clear the NEET exam. Through the NEET exam, about 43 government colleges and 4 private colleges in India offer a total of 525 Animal Husbandary and Bachelors of Veterinary Sciences seats.
Veterinary Exam 2023 Eligibility Criteria
Before appearing for the veterinary entrance exam 2023 (Now conducted through NEET) you must have full knowledge about various eligibility criteria in details. In order to help you gain a better understanding of the same, some of the significant eligibility criteria are listed below.
Nationality: Indian citizens of India can apply for the exam. Persons of Indian Origin (POIs), Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) and Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) can also be considered eligible for the veterinary exam 2023. However, they have to select “General” under the student category column.
As per the Indian Veterinary Council Act 1984, the provisions have not been extended for the state of Jammu and Kashmir. Hence candidates from J&K will not be able to apply for admission to the 15% All India Quota Seats. However, aspirants from this state who do not hold the domicile of the state of J&K can submit an affidavit that has been prescribed by the concerned authorities and become eligible.
Age: In order to fill the veterinary form 2023 candidates must be of at least 17 years of age on or before 31st December 2023. The maximum age limit of an aspirant seeking admissions through veterinary counselling 2023 must not exceed 25 years on or before 1st December 2023. In case of candidates who fall under the category of Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) will be provided with a relaxation of 5 years.
Educational qualification: All aspirants writing the exam must mandatorily pass their class 12 examination or an equivalent examination with Biology/Biotechnology, Chemistry, Physics and English as core subjects.
All aspirants seeking admission under the unreserved or the general category must necessarily pass their class 12 qualifying examination or an equivalent examination with an aggregate of at least 50 per cent marks in Biology/Biotechnology, Chemistry, Physics, and English.
All aspirants seeking admission under the SC/ST/OBC category must mandatorily qualify their class 12 exams or an equivalent examination with an aggregate of at least 47. 5 per cent marks in Biology/Biotechnology, Chemistry, Physics and English.
Eligibility for candidates with physical disability: All aspirants seeking admission in AH and B.V.Sc Courses under the PH category must be mandatorily included in the 15 per cent All India Quota List released by the Veterinary Council of India.
Applicants who have been affected by the following disabilities will not be given admissions.
Applicants who are visually impaired
Applicants who suffer from hearing disability
Candidates who have been diagnosed with progressive diseases such as myopathies etc.
Candidates who have a total body disability of more than 50 per cent including more than 50 per cent spine and chest disability
Candidates who suffer from more than 50 per cent lower limb disability
Any other candidates who suffer from medical conditions that can cause interference with their performance as a veterinarian
NEET Entrance Exam: If you want to get admissions in any of the Veterinary courses, you must necessarily obtain the minimum NEET cutoff percentile. As per the Veterinary Council of India’s Minimum Standards of Veterinary Education (MSVE) regulations, a 15 per cent of the total seats must be allocated on All India Rank of the NEET-UG examination basis.
AIPVT 2023 Application Form
The Veterinary Council of India is responsible for releasing the AIPVT 2023 application form date. The veterinary form 2023 will be released in the second week of July. All aspirants who are able to secure qualifying marks in NEET exam will be required to fill the AIPVT 2023 Application Form. All the aspirants who will be selected by the VCI under the 15 per cent All India Quota seats have the privilege to register online for AIPVT 2023.
AIPVT Counselling 2023
The Veterinary Council of India shall be shortlisting the students who will have qualified through the process of Veterinary Counselling 2023. The AIPVT Counselling 2023 comprises of two rounds of counselling. Both the rounds shall be conducted online. All the selected aspirants shall be allocated seats on All India NEET 2023 result basis. All selected aspirants are required to fill their respective choices for courses and colleges before the AIPVT counselling process commences. All admissions shall be granted to the candidates on the basis of the course and college choices filled by the candidates, seat availability, NEET UG rank, reservation criteria etc.
Required Documents after AIPVT 2023 Counselling
All the candidate names enlisted in the allotment list are mandatorily required to furnish the below-mentioned documents and their self-attested photocopies at the time of reporting to the allotted university or college. Any candidate who fails to do so may have to face the cancellation of the candidature.
Documents to be submitted:
A Copy of the AIPVT counselling registration confirmation page
A copy of the NEET Application Form
A copy of the NEET 2023 Admit Card issued by the National Testing Agency (NTA)
A copy of the NEET Result 2023
A Government ID such as Voter ID Card, Aadhar Card, Passport, Ration Card, Driver’s License etc.
In case that your date of birth mentioned in the Secondary School Examination does not match you need to submit a copy of the Birth Certificate .
The Degree Certificate that specifies that you have qualified your Secondary School Examination or and Equivalent Examination.
A copy of the mark sheet of your qualifying class 12 examination or an equivalent examination
Your character certificate obtained from the school you have attended last
You need to submit six passport-sized coloured photographs of yourself as you have uploaded in your NEET 2023 application.
You must submit a category certificate issued by the concerned authority is you have applied under the category of SC/ST/OBC, PIOs/OCI/NRI and PH.
All the Jammu and Kashmir candidates who want to claim eligibility under 15 per cent All India Quota seats need to submit a self-declaration form and an affidavit along with an Rs. 10 stamp that has to be attested by the either the First Class Judicial Magistrate or the Metropolitan Magistrate.
