Maharashtra NEET UG Counselling 2025 Overview

The Maharashtra NEET UG Counselling 2025 is expected to start in August 2025. It will be conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra to help students get admission into MBBS, BDS, and other medical courses in colleges across Maharashtra.

The counselling process will be completely online, except for the final round, where students need to report to the allotted institute for document verification. Only candidates who qualify for NEET 2025 will be eligible to participate.

Eligibility Criteria for Maharashtra NEET UG Counselling 2025

Candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements to participate in Maharashtra NEET UG 2025 Counselling:

Must have qualified NEET UG 2025.
Must be an Indian Citizen.
Must have domicile of Maharashtra or completed Class 10 & 12 from Maharashtra.
Age Limit: Minimum 17 years as of December 31, 2025.
Must have secured the minimum NEET cutoff percentile:

General (UR): 50th percentile
SC/ST/OBC: 40th percentile
UR-PwD: 45th percentile

Maharashtra NEET UG 2025 Counselling Process

The Maharashtra NEET Counselling will be conducted online in multiple rounds. Here’s a step-by-step guide:

Step 1: Registration

Visit cetcell.mahacet.org.
Click on Maharashtra NEET UG 2025 Registration.
Fill in the required details (NEET Roll Number, Application Number, Personal & Academic Information).
Upload scanned copies of required documents (PDF format, max 300 KB).
Pay the registration fee online.

Step 2: Merit List Publication

After verification, DMER will release the provisional merit list.
Candidates included in the merit list can proceed with choice filling.

Step 3: Choice Filling and Locking

Candidates select and prioritise colleges and courses.
Preferences once locked cannot be changed.
Fill choices carefully, as Round 1 choices will be considered for subsequent rounds.

Step 4: Seat Allotment and Result

Based on NEET rank, category, choices filled, and seat availability, seat allotment is conducted.
Download the seat allotment letter from the website.
Choose to accept, float, or reject the allotted seat.

Step 5: Reporting to the Allotted Institute

Visit the allotted college for document verification.
Submit original documents and fees to confirm admission.
