1. Was NEET Held Twice in the Year 2016?
The supreme court gave a ruling regarding NEET that AIPMT which was to take place on May 1, 2016, will be considered as the first phase of NEET and the 2nd phase for the same will take place on July 24, 2016. The result was declared on the 17th of August for both the phases to allow the completion of the admission process by the end of September, taking into consideration the cancellation of all other similar medical-related entrance tests.
2. Highest Score for NEET 2016 and By Whom Was It Scored?
Over 600,000 candidates appeared for NEET phase 1 that took place on May 1, 2016, and about 475,000 candidates were a part of phase 2 NEET that was held on July 24 of that year. In 2016, Het Shah, of 18 years of age, from Gujarat, scored 685 out of 720 marks bagging the All India Rank (AIR) 1 with the highest score of the year. 3. How many times can a person appear for NEET?
There is no mentioned maximum number of times as to a person appearing for the NEET Examination. Although it is important to keep in mind the age limit criteria. A person should be at least 17 years of age to be eligible for appearing for NEET and there is no upper age limit for the same. Therefore, if a person is 17 years old, that person is eligible and allowed to appear for the exam as many times as the person wishes to do so.
