Just because it's winter session we don't have to drag ourselves out the door in the drabbest of colours. So let's give our winters some summer hues and let our fashion and style not get the weather boot.

The clothes which we wear changes gradually as the seasons’ transform. Have we ever wondered how different that is in the winter dresses from the summer dresses? In the winters. We wear woollen pullovers and jackets along with long pants and stockings. Here we shall discuss the kind that is of fabrics and clothes we use in different seasons.

The fabric Jute is a good insulator of heat and provides UV protection. It has a very low thermal conduction and just does not degrade upon exposure to the sunlight. The fabric is inherently cool and prevents the irritation of skin.

Linen is extracted from flax seeds. It is even stronger than cotton but very soft in touch. The plants are naturally grown without pesticides and fertilizers. The clothes that made these fabrics are softer than cotton. They absorb sweat and moisture twice as quickly as compared to cotton thus keeping the skin dry. It inhibits the growth of bacteria and is considered the best for skin hygiene and comfort.

These fabrics are said to be biodegradable in nature and absorb well the moisture. The outermost layer which is of the stock is said to be used to produce mats and carpets whereas we can say that the inner layer yields fabrics that are softer for the purpose of clothing.

Clothes For Winter Season

The above fabrics which we have discussed were examples of the fabrics that we wear during summer. Now we can say that below is the list of fabrics that we wear during winter sessions.

The skin of a hairy sheep has two types of fibre - the coarse and fine, the latter is used to make wool. These fabrics trap a lot of air which is a poor heat conductor and generally acts as an insulator against the cold conditions.

This fabric is made up of hair of animals that are mostly mammals, particularly those with extensive body hair coverage that is generally thick and soft. The animal having fur consists of three layers that are short down hairs, the long hairs of the guard and the hairs awn medium. They generally trap the air and insulate against the cold in the winters.

Artificial wool such as tweed flannel as well as cashmere and gabardine, chenille, felt, plaids, mohair etc. are said to be produced to form threads which are then woven to form the cloth. Generally, they act as a substitute for natural materials such as wool and fur and have similar insulating properties against moisture and cold.

The polyester fibre is said to be made by knitting polyester yarns. The material provides good insulation against the wind and can be made into different thickness depending upon the intensity of the cold. The materials such as Nylon are tough and strain-resistant. They do not absorb the moisture and act as a barrier that is for wind. They are said to be mostly used as the outer layer of clothing.
