Structure of CBSE Class 10 Maths Question Paper 2019

Cbse 10th Math Question Paper 2019 is of total 100 marks, out of which 80 marks are customized as theory paper and the rest 20 marks are allocated for internal assessment. The pdf given below is of CBSE Board Exam 2019 Maths Question Paper Class 10. The duration of this paper is three hours and it contains a total of 40 questions divided into Section A, Section B, Section C and Section D. All the questions in Section A are objective type questions of 1 mark each, these questions are based on basic knowledge of the chapter and require a precise on-point answer. Section B and C contain short answer type questions of 2 and 3 marks respectively. These Sections contain proper sums and derivations covering up almost all the chapters. Section D consists of long answer type questions of 4 marks each. The answer to the questions in this section is a little complicated, lengthy and is time-consuming. Make sure you read the complete question before answering and don’t miss out steps. Content of CBSE Math Question Paper 2019 and Unit-wise weightage

CBSE Class 10 Question Paper 2019 contains no overall choice except a few internal choices in the questions. To be precise, eleven out of thirty questions have internal choices.

Section A (6 marks): It contains 6 objective types of questions (from question 1 to 6) each of 1 mark.

Section C (30 marks): This section consists of 10 questions (from question 13 to 22) each of three marks, covering the following topics:

  • Finding the value of an unknown number in a polynomial equation.

  • Finding the age from the given details. 

  • Finding the unknown value of the equation of a line when the coordinates of the points of the line segment are given.

  • Proofs of the trigonometric equation.

  • Determination of the length of a tangent.

  • Proving of geometrical figure using Pythagoras theorem

  • Area of shaded region in a circle.

  • Application of mensuration.

Calculation of mode from frequency distribution table. Section D (32marks): This section deals with long answer type questions (from question 23 to 30) each of 4 marks. Given below are the topics covered:

  • Application of algebra

  • Sum of the first nth terms of AP series.

  • Application of trigonometry in calculating height and distance.

  • Construction of a triangle.

  • Frustum of a cone.

  • Proof of Pythagoras theorem

  • Finding the value of frequencies from the given median and class-interval.

There are 30 questions which are divided into 4 sections - A, B, C and D. 

There are 6 questions each of 1 mark in section A.

    3. Explain about the cartesian coordinates system and equation of a straight line.

    As per the cartesian coordinate system, a plan which is made up of two number lines, which are perpendicular to each other which are represented in a graph with X and Y coordinates will be called a coordinate axis.

    Basically, straight lines are used to draw lines on the cartesian planes. 

    Slope intercept form is used by the equation of a line

    where m is the slope of the line and b is the y-intercept.

    On March 7, 2019, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) held the Class 10th Math paper. This was the first main paper in the CBSE Board Exams 2019 for students in class ten. This paper had a moderate degree of difficulty. This paper had a total of 30 questions in it. This paper required students to complete it in three hours and the maximum marks in this paper were 80.
