Basically, testicles are the two ball-like glands that reside inside the scrotum or a type of ball sack which hangs behind the penis. A male's testicles are an inside component, whereas his scrotum is an exterior one. Furthermore, testicles generate sperms and hormones, while the scrotum retains the testicles and maintains the optimal temperature for them to operate properly.
Actually, the testes are formed in the abdominal cavity which lies near the kidneys, but they eventually migrate to the scrotum at the time of birth.
