Hint: Observe all the given points A, B, C and D carefully and see that which of the points among these four lies outside the arc of the given angle. Neglect all the points which lie inside the arc and those points that lie on the arms OF and OE of the angle EOF. Mention only those points which lie above or below the arms of this angle.
Complete step by step answer:
Here we have been provided with the figure shown below and we are asked to name the point (s) that lies in the exterior of the angle EOF.
Now, the exterior points will be the points that lie outside the range of the given angle EOF or we can say the arc formed by the angle EOF. We can see that we have four points A, B, C and D. Among these points we can see that the points A, C and D lie above or below the arms OF and OE of the given angles EOF, so these points lie in the exterior of the angle EOF. Now, the point B lies on the arm OE of the given angle therefore we need to neglect the point B.
Hence, the required points are A, C and D.
Note: Note that we can extend the arms of the angles up to infinity because they are actually rays which have only one end point while the other point extends to infinity. We don’t have any point inside the angle EOF however we have points E, O, F and B lying on the arms of the angle EOF. There are three angles in the given figure namely: - angles EOF, DOE and DOF.
