Previously the sex education was given by the parents before a child marriages. But in the late 19th century there is an introduction to social hygiene, so in most of the northern countries, the advent the school-based sex education was introduced. This is most important in the young and adolescents because this is the age where there are hormonal changes and they obtain secondary sexual characteristics and one should know about that and this age and young age people are more susceptible to acquiring the various sexually transmitted diseases, giving the right information at right time, would help them to lead a reproductively healthy life and this also protects them from misconception regarding the sex-related issues.

Note: Generally this sex education mainly provides the knowledge regarding the sexual parts and hygienic session, but a child needs to teach about the good touch and bad touch for their safety as it gives the knowledge regarding the privacy and private parts.
