A cloning vector is known to be a small piece of DNA which will be stably maintained in an organism, and into which a far off DNA fragment is often inserted for the purpose of cloning. The cloning vector could also be DNA taken from an epidemic, the cell of a better organism, or it's going to be the plasmid of a bacterium. The vector consists of specialized features that may leave the point of insertion or removal of a DNA fragment to or from the vector, for instance by treating the vector and therefore the foreign DNA with a restriction endonuclease that cuts the DNA. DNA fragments thus generated contain either blunt ends or overhangs referred to as sticky ends, and vector DNA and foreign DNA with the same types of the ends can then be joined together by molecular ligation. After a DNA fragment has been cloned into a cloning vector, it's going to be further subcloned into another vector designed for a more specific use. It is used majorly in DNA sequencing studies. It's also used to cure illnesses using gene therapy. It is also used to make new strains of seeds and improved variants of fruits or vegetables within the agricultural sector. Bacteria that contain clone plasmids are used for the assembly of vitamins and antibiotics, within the pharmaceutical sector.
